"Sovereign"
Written by Jerm
May 12, 2000

Lord, You are sovereign, and Lord You know
Every longing of my soul.
And I praise You, Father; take control
Of every dream and desire that I hold.

      Because You are God
And You are Lord over all the earth.
      Because You are God
And life is what you offer (promise) me.
Because You are God; You are Lord (God)

Lord You desire all of me;
Every moment; sacrifically
Given to You as an offering
For Your glory to reign; joyfully

This was written after reading David's prayer of response to God praising Him for His Sovereign knowledge and thanking Him for the promise God made to David and his family to prosper him (2 Samuel 7:18-29). And also with the lesson learned last night while singing "I Offer My Life," that God wants all of us, whether good or bad, pain, regrets, joys, plans, acclaims. He wants us to offer all of it to Him as a pleasing sacrifice and thus making it His, and joyfully exclaiming that He is God; He is Sovereign in our lives.

For the memory of Konno's wedding day witnessed by two groups of people (UW AACF and Irvine's AACF alums) who were once strangers but now friends because of the bond they share in Christ (and the union of a beloved mentor):

"The Song"
~ Jerm
May 1, 2000 (Seattle, WA)

(Capo 4)
G Em D/F# G

Two different worlds joined by one,
Their common ground: her union; fun
Some drove, some flew a hundred miles
To find a bond on holy ground

They're big, we're small; old, we're young
Their pain, our joy, their joy it's become
To see the fruit of her two years
Worth the pain, sorrow and tears

[Chorus]
C D/F# G G/Gb Em
Am D G

And now there's rejoicing in the union of two
Friends under one Love they both knew
And now there's rejoicing in the knowledge of One
Whose Will is so perfect to bring them together as one
And in between them, is Holy Ground

Two different worlds joined by One,
Their common ground: The loving Son
Some played, some sung; their voices rung
They shared a bond on holy ground [Chorus]

A time will come; we'll meet again
A joyous day between friends
But for now; abide in Him
Because He's the One; our common Friend

[Bridge]
Am D G C
G C

They'll be times, (when) the valley seems low
Wait on Him; remember you flow out of
Love that He shows [Chorus]

[Untitled]
~ Pamela Wan
May 3, 2000

Blinded by my own oblivion
I grope for any sense of peace
Only to find myself on my face again
in the confines of my heart
I'm on my knees...

Take my hand, pull me out
I lift my voice and raise a shout
To praise and sing of the Mighty One
The Holy God, The Awesome Son

Tossed back and forth I hold onto pride
doubt floods my mind
Reaching to touch Your pierced side
my heart fills with belief

Draw me near, hold me tight
clean my heart and make me right
I fall before Your Holy throne
Lord, I worship You alone

"Heart's Cry"
~ Mary Ann Nguyen
March 9, 2000

It is my heart’s desire
to shout aloud Your praise.
No words can be said,
No words will do,
No words are befitting,
to honor Your sacrifce.

Chorus: So search my heart, Oh Lord,
listen to it's cry.
I worship You,
I adore You,
I bow before You.
You are my heart's cry!

It is my heart’s desire
to lay down before You
all of my wealth,
all of my store,
all that I cherish,
and all that I adore.

"Jeremiah 29:13"
~ Pam & Mary Ann
Summer 1998

Phone rings...4 o'clock
She talks the day away
Goes out...downtown
Where she sees the neon lights

As hugs go round and round
She feels like she's not there
She wonders why...wonders why
And she hears a voice inside

“If you will seek Me, you will find Me,
when you seek Me with all your heart,
when you seek Me with all your heart.
Will you seek Me with all your heart?

Goes home...steps inside
She flops down on her bed
Takes a look around…takes a look around And sees all the useless things she has

Then something catches her eye -
Don't know what it is
She wipes away the dust...wipes away the dust
And she sees and old old book

If you will seek Him, you will find Him,
when you seek Him with all your heart,
when you seek Him with all your heart.
Will you seek Him with all your heart?

Bridge: As she knelt down to pray
Tears flowed freely from her eyes
She found God when she sought Him with her heart.
You can find God when you seek Him with your heart…

If you will seek Him, you will find Him
when you seek Him with all your heart
when you seek Him with all your heart.
Will you seek Him with all your heart?
